Number 1

Aleta passed away on Wednesday, June 19th.  God, that went fast.  That's not a blasphemy, it's an actual message to God.  Really, God, that was FAST.

I got a chance to get to know her a bit and realized what a funny, witty, interesting person she was.  I wish I would have done that sooner.  It's too bad.

She was not a prominent being in the cul-de-sac because she never interacted with us, but her presence was always known.  We knew she was there watching us, seeing what we were up too and with out realizing it I liked it.  She gave me the side eye about how much I come and go.  She was so happy when D got a friend to play with.  She liked that E played ball with the boys, both T and D.  She noticed it all.  And it was comforting.

I will miss her more than I ever realized.  The memories are few yet great.  She thought I was brave for riding my own motorcycle and it acutally made me proud.  Heh, she thought I was brave.

I'll miss her and I'm so sad for her daughter to lose her mom so young.  My heart will always be with her.

I'll miss you walking to the mailbox, I'll miss you seeing you working on  your yard.  I'll miss you giving me the side eye about the roof.

Rest in peace, Aleta.  You will be missed more then you will ever know.
